During the summer, I find myself particularly drawn to eating out often with friends. When searching for options of places to dine, I try to find someplace budget-friendly and unique with a nice atmosphere. Zohara, one of the more recent restaurant additions to Blue Back Square, offers Mediterranean small plates, perfect for sharing in small groups or just between two people.
I have gone twice within the past week with two separate friends (Jodi and Maddie) to enjoy their fresh pita, various dips, and specialties like falafel, lamb, and shakshuka. The dishes are reasonably priced, ranging from $6 to $16, depending on their size and complexity. Some of my favorite tapas to recommend are the tahina hummus, labneh, whipped feta cheese, and crispy chic peas.
Today was especially hot out, so my friend and I sat in the shade outside of the restaurant near the flowers. The environment of Zohara is perfect for the summer with the white and blue ornate decor, reminiscent of Greece and certain beach towns. Below are a few pictures of the beautiful seating area we enjoyed at lunch.
I love the hummus here!
